Community-led projects, past and present
Live-streamed live coding concert for the opening of a brand new Mozilla Hubs 3D space, during lockdown. A fusion of styles — Ableton, synths, several live coding languages — with local and non-local artists (including AFALFL, live coding from Paris).
First edition of the sonic exquisite corpse, born during the first COVID lockdown. An audio file circulates by relay: each participant receives the previous version, adds their contribution within 24–48h, and passes it on to the next — never hearing the whole until the end. A remote collective project, under the name Live Coding Strasbourg, before TOPLAP Strasbourg.
Second edition of the sonic exquisite corpse, still during lockdown. The audio relay principle continues with a wider circle of participants, mixing regulars from the first edition with new voices.
Third edition, the most ambitious one: 16 announced participants, an audio relay plus a parallel attempt at a video relay. The sound file circulated with regular progress updates shared on lcsxb.fr, each contributor adding their layer freely, in the spirit of the surrealist exquisite corpse.
